|
O God, my God, I cry to thee early; my soul has thirsted for thee: how often has my flesh longed after thee, in a barren and trackless and dry land!
|
Боже, Боже мій, до Тебе з ранку лину я, жадає Тебе душа моя, за Тобою знемагає плоть моя в землі пустельній, непрохідній і безводній.

Thus have I appeared before thee in the sanctuary, that I might see thy power and thy glory.
|
Як у святиню явився я до Тебе, щоб бачити силу Твою і славу Твою.
|

|
For thy mercy is better than life: my lips shall praise thee.
|
Бо милість Твоя краща за життя, уста мої прославлятимуть Тебе.
|

|
|
Thus will I bless thee during my life: I will lift up my hands in thy name.
|
Так благословлятиму Тебе в житті моїм, і в ім’я Твоє піднесу руки свої.

|
Let my soul be filled as with marrow and fatness; and my joyful lips shall praise thy name.
|
Як ситтю та єлеєм, наповнюється душа моя, і голосом радости вихваляють Тебе уста мої,

|
Forasmuch as I have remembered thee on my bed: in the early seasons I have meditated on thee.
|
коли згадую Тебе на постелі моїй і в усі години ночі розмірковую про Тебе,
|

|
For thou hast been my helper, and in the shelter of thy wings will I rejoice.
|
бо Ти єси Помічник мій, і під покровом крил Твоїх возрадуюся.
|

|
My soul has kept very close behind thee: thy right hand has upheld me.
|
Припала душа моя до Тебе, і правиця Твоя підтримує мене.
|
|

|

|
|
But they vainly sought after my soul; they shall go into the lowest parts of the earth.
|
Ті ж, що даремно шукають душу мою, впадуть у безодню підземну,
|
|

|
|
They shall be delivered up to the power of the sword; they shall be portions for foxes.
|
уразить їх сила меча, стануть здобиччю лисів.
|
|

|
|
But the king shall rejoice in God; every one that swears by him shall be praised; for the mouth of them that speak unjust things has been stopped.
|
Цар же звеселиться в Бозі: прославиться кожний, хто клянеться Ним, і замовкнуть уста тих, що говорять неправедно.
