| O God, my God, attend to me: why hast thou forsaken me? the account of my transgressions is far from my salvation. | Боже, Боже мій! [Зглянься на мене!] Нащо Ти покинув мене? Далекі від спасіння мого слова плачу мого. |

| O my God, I will cry to thee by day, but thou wilt not hear: and by night, and it shall not be accounted for folly to me. | Боже мій, взиваю вдень — і Ти не чуєш; вночі — і нема мені спокою. |

| But thou, the praise of Israel, dwellest in a sanctuary. | Ти ж у святині живеш, хвало Ізраїля. |

| Our fathers hoped in thee; they hoped, and thou didst deliver them. | На Тебе надіялися батьки наші, надіялись, і Ти визволив їх. |

| They cried to thee, and were saved: they hoped in thee, and were not ashamed. | До Тебе звертались і були спасенні, на Тебе надію покладали і не осоромились. |

| But I am a worm, and not a man; a reproach of men, and scorn of the people. | А я черв, а не людина, приниження в людей і зневага в народів. |

| All that saw me mocked me: they spoke with their lips, they shook the head, saying, | Всі, хто дивиться на мене, насміхаються з мене, зневажають устами, киваючи головою: |

| He hoped in the Lord: let him deliver him, let him save him, because he takes pleasure in him. | «Він надіявся на Бога, нехай же спасе його, нехай визволить його, коли він угодний Йому». |

| For thou art he that drew me out of the womb; my hope from my mother's breasts. | Але Ти ж вивів мене з утроби, дав мені надію на Тебе від грудей матері моєї. |

| I was cast on thee from the womb: thou art my God from my mother's belly. | На Тебе покинутий я від утроби. Від грудей матері моєї Ти — Бог мій. |

| Stand not aloof from me; for affliction is near; for there is no helper. | Не віддаляйся ж від мене, бо скорбота близько, а заступника нема. |
|

| Many bullocks have compassed me: fat bulls have beset me round. | Бики роз’ярені обступили мене, страшні васанські — оточили мене. |

| They have opened their mouth against me, as a ravening and roaring lion. | Розкрили на мене пащі свої, як лев, що шукає поживи й рикає. |
|

| I am poured out like water, and all my bones are loosened: my heart in the midst of my belly is become like melting wax. | Я розлився, як вода, розслабли всі кості мої, і серце моє, як віск, розтопилося в грудях моїх. |

| My strength is dried up like a potsherd; and my tongue is glued to my throat; and thou hast brought me down to the dust of death. | Висохла, як черепок, сила моя, і язик мій прилип до піднебіння мого. В порох смерти Ти звів мене. |

| For many dogs have compassed me: the assembly of the wicked doers has beset me round: they pierced my hands and my feet. | Бо пси оточили мене, зграя злих обступила мене. Пробили руки й ноги мої. |

| They counted all my bones; and they observed and looked upon me. | Можна перелічити всі кості мої, а вони дивляться та зневажають мене. |

| They parted my garments among themselves, and cast lots upon my raiment. | Розділили ризи мої собі і за одежу мою кидали жереб. |
|

|
| But thou, O Lord, remove not my help afar off: be ready for mine aid. | Ти ж, Господи, не віддаляйся від мене. Сило моя, на поміч мені прийди! |

| Deliver my soul from the sword; my only-begotten one from the power of the dog. | Визволи від смерти душу мою і від псів самотню мою. |
|

|
| Save me from the lion's mouth; and regard my lowliness from the horns of the unicorns. | Почуй і спаси мене від пащі лева і від рогів єдинорогів визволи мене. |
|

| I will declare thy name to my brethren: in the midst of the church will I sing praise to thee. | Я ж сповіщатиму ім’я Твоє браттям моїм, посеред церкви вірних у піснях хвалитиму Тебе. |

| Ye that fear the Lord, praise him; all ye seed of Jacob, glorify him: let all the seed of Israel fear him. | Всі, хто боїться Господа, прославляйте Його. Всі нащадки Якова, хваліть Його; нехай же бояться Його всі покоління Ізраїля! |

| For he has not despised nor been angry at the supplication of the poor; nor turned away his face from me; but when I cried to him, he heard me. | Бо Він не зневажив і не покинув бідного в біді його і не сховав від мене лиця Свого, а почув мене, коли благав Його. |

| My praise is of thee in the great congregation: I will pay my vows before them that fear him. | Буду хвалитися Тобою у зібранні великому, буду визнавати Тебе, обітниці мої сповню перед тими, що бояться Його. |

| The poor shall eat and be satisfied; and they shall praise the Lord that seek him: their heart shall live for ever. | Будуть їсти убогі й насичуватися, і хвалитимуть Господа ті, що шукають Його, щоб жили серця ваші повіки. |
|

|
| All the ends of the earth shall remember and turn to the Lord: and all the kindreds of the nations shall worship before him. | Згадають і повернуться до Господа всі краї землі і поклоняться перед Ним усі племена народів. |
|

|
| For the kingdom is the Lord's; and he is the governor of the nations. | Бо Господнє є Царство, і Він царює над народами. |
|

|
| All the fat ones of the earth have eaten and worshipped: all that go down to the earth shall fall down before him: my soul also lives to him. | Будуть споживати й поклоняться Йому всі сильні землі; поклоняться Йому всі, що сходять у землю, і душа моя для Нього живе. |

|
| And my seed shall serve him: the generation that is coming shall be reported to the Lord. | Нащадки [мої] будуть служити Йому і будуть зватися Господніми повіки. |
|

|
| And they shall report his righteousness to the people that shall be born, whom the Lord has made. | Прийдуть вони і будуть сповіщати правду Його родові майбутньому, про все, що створив Господь. |
