| A Song of Degrees. Lord, remember David, and all his meekness: | Пом’яни, Господи, Давида і всю лагідність його. |

| how he sware to the Lord, and vowed to the God of Jacob, saying, | Як він присягався Господу, давав обітниці Богу Якова: |

| I will not go into the tabernacle of my house; I will not go up to the couch of my bed; | «Не ввійду в світлицю дому мого, не ляжу на постіль мою, |

|
| I will not give sleep to mine eyes, nor slumber to mine eyelids, nor rest to my temples, | не дам заснути очам моїм і задрімати повікам моїм; |
|

|
| until I find a place for the Lord, a tabernacle for the God of Jacob. | не заспокоюся, поки не знайду оселі для Господа, дому для Бога Якова». |

| Behold, we heard of it in Ephratha; we found it in the fields of the wood. | Ось ми чули про Нього в Єфрафі, знайшли Його на полях Іарима. |

| Let us enter into his tabernacles: let us worship at the place where his feet stood. | Ходімо в оселі Його, поклонімося підніжжю ніг Його. |

| Arise, O Lord, into thy rest; thou, and the ark of thine holiness. | Воскресни, Господи, у спокій Твій, Ти і кивот святині Твоєї. |

| Thy priests shall clothe themselves with righteousness; and thy saints shall exult. | Священики Твої зодягнуться в правду, і преподобні Твої зрадіють. |
|

|
| For the sake of thy servant David turn not away the face of thine anointed. | Ради Давида, раба Твого, не відверни лиця від помазаника Твого. |

|
| The Lord sware in truth to David, and he will not annul it, saying, Of the fruit of thy body will I set a king upon thy throne. | Клявся Господь Давиду істиною і не зречеться її: «Із синів роду твого посаджу на престолі твоїм. |

| If thy children will keep my covenant, and these my testimonies which I shall teach them, their children also shall sit upon thy throne for ever. | А коли сини твої зберігатимуть завіт Мій і повеління Мої, яких Я навчу їх, то й сини їхні навіки сидітимуть на престолі твоїм». |

| For the Lord has elected Sion, he has chosen her for a habitation for himself, saying, | Вибрав Господь Сион, забажав [його] на оселю для Себе. |

| This is my rest for ever: here will I dwell; for I have chosen it. | «Це місце спокою Мого повік віку, сказав Господь, тут оселюся, бо Я полюбив його. |
|

|
| I will surely bless her provision: I will satisfy her poor with bread. | Поживу його Я, благословляючи, благословлю, і вбогих його Я нагодую хлібом. |

| I will clothe her priests with salvation; and her saints shall greatly exult. | Священиків його Я зодягну в спасіння, і праведні його будуть радіти радістю. |

|
| There will I cause to spring up a horn to David: I have prepared a lamp for mine anointed. | Там Я вирощу спасіння Давидові, поставлю світильник помазанику Моєму. |

| His enemies will I clothe with shame; but upon himself shall my holiness flourish. | Ворогів його осоромлю Я, на ньому ж розцвіте святиня Моя». |
