| Why dost thou, O mighty man, boast of iniquity in thy mischief? All the day | Чого хвалишся злодійством, сильний? Зловживаєш милосердям Божим кожен день? |

| thy tongue has devised unrighteousness; like a sharpened razor thou hast wrought deceit. | Неправду висловлює язик твій, як бритва вигострена — таке твоє лукавство. |

| Thou hast loved wickedness more than goodness; unrighteousness better than to speak righteousness. Pause. | Ти полюбив зло більше, ніж добро, більше неправду, ніж говорити правду. |

| Thou hast loved all words of destruction, and a deceitful tongue. | Ти полюбив слова погибелі, розмову улесливу. |

| Therefore may God destroy thee for ever, may he pluck thee up and utterly remove thee from thy dwelling, and thy root from the land of the living. Pause. | За те знищить тебе Бог до кінця. Викине тебе й виселить тебе з дому [твого], викоренить тебе із землі живих. |

| And the righteous shall see, and fear, and shall laugh at him, and say, | Побачать це праведні і убояться, посміються над тобою [і скажуть]: |

| Behold the man who made not God his help; but trusted in the abundance of his wealth, and strengthened himself in his vanity. | «Ось чоловік, що не у Бога шукав собі сили, а сподівався на силу багатства свого та зміцнювався злочинством своїм». |

| But I am as a fruitful olive in the house of God: I have trusted in the mercy of God for ever, even for evermore. | А я, мов оливкове зелене дерево в домі Божім, я уповаю на милість Божу повік. |

| I will give thanks to thee for ever, for thou hast done it: and I will wait on thy name; for it is good before thy saints. | Буду вічно славити Тебе, Боже, за все, що Ти вчинив для мене. Буду надіятися на ім’я Твоє, бо Ти милостивий до праведних Твоїх. |
