| For the end, a Psalm of David. O Lord, thou hast proved me, and known me. | Господи, Ти випробував мене і знаєш мене. |

| Thou knowest my down-sitting and mine up-rising: thou understandest my thoughts long before. | Ти знаєш, коли я сяду і коли я встану. Ти наперед знаєш думки мої. |

| Thou hast traced my path and my bed, and hast foreseen all my ways. | Стежку мою і місце перебування мого Ти визначив, і всі путі мої відомі Тобі. |

| For there is no unrighteous word in my tongue: behold, O Lord, thou hast known all things, | Ще нема слова на язиці моїм, а вже Ти, Господи, все знаєш. |

| the last and the first: thou hast fashioned me, and laid thine hand upon me. | Ти ствердив мене і поклав на мене руку Твою. |

| The knowledge of thee is too wonderful for me; it is very difficult, I cannot attain to it. | Дивне для мене всевідання [Твоє]; високе воно для мене, і я не можу збагнути його. |

| Whither shall I go from thy Spirit? and whither shall I flee from thy presence? | Куди піду я від Духа Твого і від лиця Твого куди втечу? |

| If I should go up to heaven, thou art there: if I should go down to hell, thou art present. | Зійду на небо — Ти там перебуваєш; зійду в пекло — і там Ти. |

| If I should spread my wings to fly straight forward, and sojourn at the extremity of the sea, it would be vain, | Чи візьму крила в ранньої зорі і переселюся на самий край моря, |

| for even there thy hand would guide me, and thy right hand would hold me. | і там рука Твоя поведе мене, і правиця Твоя триматиме мене. |

| When I said, Surely the darkness will cover me; even the night was light in my luxury. | Сказав би я: може, темрява сховає мене, то й темрява стане світлою перед Тобою. |

| For darkness will not be darkness with thee; but night will be light as day: as its darkness, so shall its light be to thee. | Не сховає від Тебе й темрява, бо й ніч перед Тобою як день; і пітьма перед Тобою як світло. |

| For thou, O Lord, hast possessed my reins; thou hast helped me from my mother's womb. | Ти створив усе нутро моє, витворив мене в утробі матері моєї. |

| I will give thee thanks; for thou art fearfully wondrous; wondrous are thy works; and my soul knows it well. | Прославляю Тебе за те, що Ти так дивно створив мене. Дивні діла Твої, і душа моя добре це знає. |

| My bones which thou madest in secret were not hidden from thee, nor my substance, in the lowest parts of the earth. | Не були втаєні від Тебе кості мої, коли в тайні зачався я, коли в утробі витворювалося тіло моє. |

| Thine eyes saw my unwrought substance, and all men shall be written in thy book; they shall be formed by day, though there should for a time be no one among them. | Очі Твої бачили зародок мій, і в книзі Твоїй були записані всі дні, призначені для мене, коли ще й одного з них не було. |

| But thy friends, O God, have been greatly honoured by me; their rule has been greatly strengthened. | О, які величні для мене замисли Твої, Боже! І яка велика кількість їх! |

| I will number them, and they shall be multiplied beyond the sand; I awake, and am still with thee. | Став би лічити їх, та їх більше, ніж піску; коли я пробуджуюсь, я все ще перед Тобою. |

| Oh that thou wouldest slay the wicked, O God; depart from me, ye men of blood. | О, коли б Ти, Боже, знищив нечестивого! Відійдіть від мене, кровожерні! |

| For thou wilt say concerning their thought, that they shall take thy cities in vain. | Вороги Твої, Господи, говорять проти Тебе зневажливо; марне замишляють вороги Твої. |

| Have I not hated them, O Lord, that hate thee? and wasted away because of thine enemies? | Чи ж мені не мати ненависти проти тих, що Тебе, Господи, ненавидять? І чи не цуратися тих, що повстають проти Тебе? |

| I have hated them with perfect hatred; they were counted my enemies. | Повною ненавистю ненавиджу їх; ворогами моїми стали вони. |

| Prove me, O God, and know my heart; examine me, and know my paths; | Випробуй мене, Боже, і побач серце моє, досліди думки мої. |

| and see if there is any way of iniquity in me, and lead me in an everlasting way. | Подивись, чи не на шляху я беззаконня і чи на добрій я дорозі? Якщо ні, то настанови мене на путь вічну. |
