| I cried to the Lord with my voice, yea, my voice was addressed to God; and he gave heed to me. | Голосом моїм до Господа я буду взивати. Голос мій до Бога, і Він почує мене. |

| In the day of mine affliction I earnestly sought the Lord; even with my hands by night before him, and I was not deceived; my soul refused to be comforted. | В день скорботи моєї шукав я Господа, вночі підносив руки мої і не опускав їх — душа моя не мала втіхи. |

| I remembered God, and rejoiced; I poured out my complaint, and my soul fainted. Pause. | Згадував я Бога і тремтів, став роздумувати, і знемагав дух мій. |

| All mine enemies set a watch against me: I was troubled, and spoke not. | Не змикалися очі мої вночі, я сумував і не міг говорити. |

| I considered the days of old, and remembered ancient years. | Я роздумував про дні давні, пригадував роки віків минулих. |

| And I meditated; I communed with my heart by night, and diligently searched my spirit, saying, | Вночі роздумувало серце моє і допитувався дух мій: |

| Will the Lord cast off for ever? and will he be well pleased no more? | невже навіки відкинув мене Господь і не виявить більше до мене милости Своєї? |

| Will he cut off his mercy for ever, even for ever and ever? | Невже назавжди спинилася милість Його і скінчилося слово Його з роду в рід? |

| Will God forget to pity? or will he shut up his compassions in his wrath? Pause. | Невже забув милувати Бог і в гніві Своїм зачинив щедроти Свої? |

| And I said, Now I have begun; this is the change of the right hand of the Most High. | І я сказав: «Ось, горе мені — це зміна правиці Всевишнього». |

| I remembered the works of the Lord; for I will remember thy wonders from the beginning. | Буду згадувати про діла Господні, згадувати від початку чудеса Твої. |

| And I will meditate on all thy works, and will consider thy doings. | Буду вдумуватися в усі діла Твої, роздумувати про всі діяння Твої. |

| O God, thy way is in the sanctuary; who is a great God as our God? | Боже! Свята путь Твоя. Хто бог великий, як Бог [наш]?! |

| Thou art the God that doest wonders; thou hast made known thy power among the nations. | Ти єси Бог, що твориш чудеса. Ти показав між народами силу Твою. |

| Thou hast with thine arm redeemed thy people, the sons of Jacob and Joseph. Pause. | Ти визволив силою Твоєю народ Твій — синів Якова та Йосифа. |

| The waters saw thee, O God, the waters saw thee, and feared; and the depths were troubled. | Побачили Тебе води, Боже, побачили Тебе води й убоялися, затремтіли безодні. |

| There was an abundant sound of waters: the clouds uttered a voice; for thine arrows went abroad. | З хмар лилися води, гриміли громи і стріли блискавиць летіли. |

| The voice of thy thunder was abroad, and around thy lightnings appeared to the world; the earth trembled and quaked. | Голос грому Твого котився по небу, і блискавки Твої освітили всю піднебесну, земля захиталася й тряслася. |

| Thy way is in the sea, and thy paths in many waters, and thy footsteps cannot be known. | Шляхи Твої в морі, і стежки Твої — у водах великих, а сліди Твої недовідомі. |

| Thou didst guide thy people as sheep by the hand of Moses and Aaron. | Як стадо, вів Ти народ Твій рукою Мойсея і Аарона. |
