| Прославляйте Господа, бо Він благий, бо повіки милість Його. | Alleluia. Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; for his mercy endures for ever. |

| Так нехай скажуть визволені Господом, яких Він визволив із руки ворога, | Let them say so who have been redeemed by the Lord, whom he has redeemed from the hand of the enemy; |
|

|
| і зібрав їх із усіх країв — зі сходу й заходу, з півночі і півдня. | and gathered them out of the countries, from the east, and west, and north, and south. |
|

|

|
| Блукали вони по пустелі безлюдними шляхами і не знаходили міста заселеного. | They wandered in the wilderness in a dry land; they found no way to a city of habitation. |
|

|
| Голод і спрагу терпіли вони, знемагала в них душа їхня. | Hungry and thirsty, their soul fainted in them. |
|

|
| Тоді взивали до Господа в скорботі своїй, і Він визволив їх із біди їхньої. | Then they cried to the Lord in their affliction, and he delivered them out of their distresses. |
|

|

|
| І привів їх прямою дорогою до міста заселеного. | And he guided them into a straight path, that they might go to a city of habitation. |
|

|
| Нехай же прославляють Господа за милість Його і за дивні діла Його для синів людських, | Let them acknowledge to the Lord his mercies, and his wonderful works to the children of men. |
|

|
| бо Він наситив душу спраглу і душу голодну сповнив добром. | For he satisfies the empty soul, and fills the hungry soul with good things, |
|

|
| Вони сиділи в темряві і тіні смертній, сковані скорботою та залізом, | even them that sit in darkness and the shadow of death, fettered in poverty and iron; |
|

|
11
|
| бо не скорилися словам Божим і зневажали вони Всевишнього. | because they rebelled against the words of God, and provoked the counsel of the Most High. |
|

|

|
| Він же смирив серця їхні стражданнями, вони падали, і не було кому допомогти їм. | So their heart was brought low with troubles; they were weak, and there was no helper. |
|

|
| Тоді взивали вони до Господа в скорботі своїй, і Він визволив їх від бід їхніх, | Then they cried to the Lord in their affliction, and he saved them out of their distresses. |
|

|

|
| вивів їх із темряви і тіні смертної і кайдани їх розірвав. | And he brought them out of darkness and the shadow of death, and broke their bonds asunder. |
|
15
|
15
|
| Нехай же прославляють Господа за милість Його і дивні діла Його для синів людських: | Let them acknowledge to the Lord his mercies, and his wonders to the children of men. |
|

|
| бо розбив Він брами мідні і замки залізні зламав. | For he broke to pieces the brazen gates, and crushed the iron bars. |
|

|
| Непокірні страждали через беззаконне життя своє і за неправди свої терпіли. | He helped them out of the way of their iniquity; for they were brought low because of their iniquities. |
|

|
18
|
| Душа їхня відверталася від усякої поживи, і наблизилися вони до воріт смерти. | Their soul abhorred all meat; and they drew near to the gates of death. |
|

|
| Тоді взивали вони до Господа в скорботі своїй, і Він визволив їх від бід їхніх, | Then they cried to the Lord in their affliction, and he saved them out of their distresses. |
|

20
|
| послав їм слово Своє і зцілив їх, і з могил їхніх вивів їх. | He sent his word, and healed them, and delivered them out of their destructions. |
|

|
21
|
| Нехай же прославляють Господа за милість Його і за дивні діла Його для синів людських. | Let them acknowledge to the Lord his mercies, and his wonderful works to the children of men. |
|

|
| Нехай приносять Йому жертви хвали, і піснями радости нехай сповіщають про діла Його. | And let them offer to him the sacrifice of praise, and proclaim his works with exultation. |
|

|
| Ті, що на кораблях плавають по морю і виконують роботу свою на водах великих, | They that go down to the sea in ships, doing business in many waters; |
|

|
24
|
| вони бачать діла Господні і чудеса Його на глибині: | these men have seen the works of the Lord, and his wonders in the deep. |
|
25
|
25
|
| скаже Він — і здійметься буйний вітер, який високо підносить хвилі, — | He speaks, and the stormy wind arises, and its waves are lifted up. |
|

|
| піднімає їх до неба, і опускає в безодню, і від страху мліє душа людей. | They go up to the heavens, and go down to the depths; their soul melts because of troubles. |
|

|
27
|
| Кружляють вони і хитаються, наче п’яні, — зникає вся мудрість їхня. | They are troubled, they stagger as a drunkard, and all their wisdom is swallowed up. |

|
| Тоді взивають вони до Господа в скорботі своїй, і Він визволяє їх від біди. | Then they cry to the Lord in their affliction, and he brings them out of their distresses. |
|

|

|
| Він повелів бурі, і настала тиша, і хвилі затихли. | And he commands the storm, and it is calmed into a gentle breeze, and its waves are still. |
|
30
|
30
|
| І радіють вони, що море втихло, а Він приводить їх до бажаної пристані. | And they are glad, because they are quiet; and he guides them to their desired haven. |
|

|

|
| Нехай же прославляють Господа за милість Його і за дивні діла Його для синів людських. | Let them acknowledge to the Lord his mercies, and his wonderful works to the children of men. |
|

|
| Нехай вихваляють Його в зібранні людей і прославляють Його на зборах старійшин. | Let them exalt him in the congregation of the people, and praise him in the seat of the elders. |
|

|

|
| Він перетворює ріки на пустелю і джерела води на безводну землю, | He turns rivers into a desert, and streams of water into a dry land; |
|
34
|
34
|
| землю родючу на солончаки за беззаконня тих, що живуть в ній. | a fruitful land into saltness, for the wickedness of them that dwell in it. |
|
35
|
35
|
| Він перетворює пустелю на озера, і землю засохлу — на джерела води. | He turns a wilderness into pools of water, and a dry land into streams of water. |
|
36
|
36
|
| І оселяє там голодних; вони будують міста — оселі собі, | And there he causes the hungry to dwell, and they establish for themselves cities of habitation. |

|

|
| засівають поля, насаджують виноградники, що приносять їм великий урожай. | And they sow fields, and plant vineyards, and they yield fruit of increase. |
|

|
| Він благословляє їх, і вони швидко розмножуються, і тварин у них не зменшується. | And he blesses them, and they multiply exceedingly, and he diminishes not the number of their cattle. |
|

|
39
|
| Вони занепадали від гноблення, біди і скорботи, | Again they become few, and are brought low, by the pressure of evils and pain. |
|
40
|
40
|
| тоді Він посилав безчестя на князів їхніх і залишав їх блукати по пустелі, де немає шляхів. | Contempt is poured upon their princes, and he causes them to wander in a desert and trackless land. |

|
41
|
| Убогого Він спасав від біди і примножував рід його, як отари овець. | But he helps the poor out of poverty, and makes him families as a flock. |
|
42
|
42
|
| Бачать це праведники і радіють, а беззаконні замикають уста свої. | The upright shall see and rejoice; and all iniquity shall stop her mouth. |
|
43
|
43
|
| Хто мудрий, той помітить це і зрозуміє милості Господні. | Who is wise, and will observe these things, and understand the mercies of the Lord? |
