| Псалом Давида, коли він прикинувся безумним перед Авимелехом, який через це відпустив його. | A Psalm of David, when he changed his countenance before Abimelech; and he let him go, and he departed. |

| Благословлю Господа на всякий час, завжди хвала Йому в устах моїх. | I will bless the Lord at all times: his praise shall be continually in my mouth. |

| Господом буде хвалитися душа моя; нехай почують вірні і звеселяться. | My soul shall boast herself in the Lord: let the meek hear, and rejoice. |
|

|
| Величайте Господа зі мною, і прославмо ім’я Його всі вкупі. | Magnify ye the Lord with me, and let us exalt his name together. |

|
| Я шукав Господа, і Він почув мене і від усіх скорбот визволив мене. | I sought the Lord diligently, and he hearkened to me, and delivered me from all my sojournings. |
|

|
| Приступіть до Нього й просвітіться, і лиця ваші не осоромляться. | Draw near to him, and be enlightened: and your faces shall not by any means be ashamed. |
|

|
| Ось убогий благав, і Господь почув його і від усіх скорбот спас його. | This poor man cried, and the Lord hearkened to him, and delivered him out of all his afflictions. |
|

|
| Ангел Господній охороняє тих, що бояться Його, і визволяє їх. | The angel of the Lord will encamp round about them that fear him, and will deliver them. |
|

|
| Споживіть і побачите, що благий Господь. Блажен муж, що уповає на Нього. | Taste and see that the Lord is good: blessed is the man who hopes in him. |
|

|
| Бійтеся Господа, [всі] святі Його, бо не знають нестатку ті, що бояться Його. | Fear the Lord, all ye his saints: for there is no want to them that fear him. |
|

|
| Багаті зубожіли і зголодніли, а ті, що шукають Господа, не будуть позбавлені всякого блага. | The rich have become poor and hungry: but they that seek the Lord diligently shall not want any good thing. Pause. |
|

|
| Прийдіть, діти, послухайте мене, я страху Господнього навчу вас. | Come, ye children, hear me: I will teach you the fear of the Lord. |
|

|
| Хто з людей бажає жити і бачити дні благі — | What man is there that desires life, loving to see good days? |
|
14
|
14
|
| стримуй язик свій від зла, і уста твої нехай не будуть облесливі. | Keep thy tongue from evil, and thy lips from speaking guile. |
|
15
|
15
|
| Ухиляйся від всього злого і роби добро, будь мирний і пильнуй того. | Turn away from evil, and do good; seek peace, and pursue it. |
|

|
| Очі Господні звернені до праведних, і вуха Його до молитви їх. | The eyes of the Lord are over the righteous, and his ears are open to their prayer: |

|
| Лице ж Господнє проти тих, що чинять зло, щоб знищити з землі й пам’ять про них. | but the face of the Lord is against them that do evil, to destroy their memorial from the earth. The righteous cried, and the Lord hearkened to them, |

|
| Взивали [праведні], і Господь почув їх і від усіх скорбот визволив їх. | and delivered them out of all their afflictions. |
|

|
19
|
| Близько Господь до скорботних серцем, і смиренних духом Він спасає. | The Lord is near to them that are of a contrite heart; and will save the lowly in spirit. |
|
20
|
20
|
| Багато скорбот у праведника, та від усіх них визволить його Господь. | Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but out of them all the Lord will deliver them. |
|

|
21
|
| Господь охороняє всі кості їх, і ні одна з них не зламається. | He keeps all their bones: not one of them shall be broken. |
|
22
|
22
|
| Смерть же грішників люта, і ті, що ненавидять праведного, загинуть. | The death of sinners is evil: and they that hate righteousness will go wrong. |
|

|
| Господь визволить душі рабів Своїх, і не загине ніхто з тих, що уповають на Нього. | The Lord will redeem the souls of his servants: and none of those that hope in him shall go wrong. |
