| Начальнику хору. Не погуби. Молитва Давида, коли Саул послав стерегти дім його, щоб умертвити його. | For the end. Destroy not: by David for a memorial, when Saul sent, and watched his house to kill him. |

| Визволи мене від ворогів моїх, Боже мій, від тих, що повстали на мене, захисти мене. | Deliver me from mine enemies, O God; and ransom me from those that rise up against me. |

|
| Спаси мене від тих, що чинять беззаконня, і від кровожерних врятуй мене. | Deliver me from the workers of iniquity, and save me from bloody men. |
|

|
| Бо ось вони підстерігають душу мою, збираються на мене сильні, не за беззаконня мої і не за гріх мій. | For, behold, they have hunted after my soul; violent men have set upon me: neither is it my iniquity, nor my sin, O Lord. |
|

| Господи! Без провини моєї вони йдуть на мене. Встань же на допомогу мені і поглянь. | Without iniquity I ran and directed my course aright: awake to help me, and behold. |
|

| Господи, Боже Сил, Боже Ізраїлів, встань, відвідай усі народи, не помилуй нікого з тих, що чинять беззаконня. | And thou, Lord God of hosts, the God of Israel, draw nigh to visit all the heathen; pity not any that work iniquity. Pause. |
|

|
| Щовечора сходяться вони, жадібні до крови, як пес, і обходять місто. | They shall return at evening, and hunger like a dog, and go round about the city. |
|

|
| Ось вони лихословлять язиками своїми, в устах їхніх не слова, а мечі, бо думають: хто їх чує? | Behold, they shall utter a voice with their mouth, and a sword is in their lips; for who, say they, has heard? |
|

| Але Ти, Господи, посмієшся з них, осоромиш усі народи. | But thou, Lord, wilt laugh them to scorn; thou wilt utterly set at nought all the heathen. |
|

|
| Сила моя в Тобі, Боже! Ти Заступник мій. | I will keep my strength, looking to thee; for thou, O God, art my helper. |
|

|
| Ти — Бог мій, і милість Твоя попередить мене. Бог дасть мені перемогу над ворогами моїми. | As for my God, his mercy shall go before me: my God will shew me vengeance on mine enemies. |
|

|
| Не убивай їх, щоб люди не забули Закону Твого. Розвій їх силою Твоєю, Захиснику мій, Господи. | Slay them not, lest they forget thy law; scatter them by thy power; and bring them down, O Lord, my defender. |
|

|
| Слова уст їхніх — то гріх душі їхньої; хай будуть спіймані у гордині їхній за прокльони їхні та за неправду, яку вони говорять. | For the sin of their mouth, and the word of their lips, let them be even taken in their pride. |
|

| Розвій їх гнівом Твоїм так, щоб не стало їх, та щоб пізнали люди, що Бог володіє народами в усіх кінцях землі. | And for their cursing and falsehood shall utter destruction be denounced: they shall fall by the wrath of utter destruction, and shall not be; so shall they know that the God of Jacob is Lord of the ends of the earth. Pause. |

| Вони сходяться вечорами, спраглі крови, як пси, і обходять місто. | They shall return at evening, and be hungry as a dog, and go round about the city. |

| Вони шукають поживи, але неситі лягають спати. | They shall be scattered hither and thither for meat; and if they be not satisfied, they shall even murmur. |
|

| А я буду оспівувати силу Твою, щоранку прославлятиму милість Твою, бо Ти був оборонцем моїм і захисником моїм у час біди моєї. | But I will sing to thy strength, and in the morning will I exult in thy mercy; for thou hast been my supporter, and my refuge in the day of mine affliction. |

| Сило моя! Тобі я буду співати, бо Ти Заступник мій і Бог мій, Який милує мене. | Thou art my helper; to thee, my God, will I sing; thou art my supporter, O my God, and my mercy. |
