A Psalm of David. Rejoice in the Lord, ye righteous; praise becomes the upright.

Радуйтеся, праведні, у Господі; праведним подобає похвала.

Praise the Lord on the harp; play to him on a psaltery of ten strings.
|
|

|
|
Прославляйте Господа на гуслях, співайте Йому на десятиструнній псалтирі.
|
Sing to him a new song; play skilfully with a loud noise.
|
|

|
|
Співайте Йому пісню нову, співайте радісно, з піднесенням.
|
For the word of the Lord is right; and all his works are faithful.
|
|

|
|
Бо слово Господнє праве і всі діла Його праведні.
|
He loves mercy and judgment; the earth is full of the mercy of the Lord.
|
|

|
|
Господь любить правду і праведний суд, милости Його повна земля.
|
By the word of the Lord the heavens were established; and all the host of them by the breath of his mouth.
|
|

|
|
Словом Господнім сотворено небеса, і духом уст Його — вся сила їх.
|
Who gathers the waters of the sea as in a bottle; who lays up the deeps in treasuries.
|
|

|
8
|
|
Він зібрав, наче в міх, води морські, утворив у глибині їх безодні.
|
Let all the earth fear the Lord; and let all that dwell in the world be moved because of him.
|
|

|

|
|
Нехай боїться Господа вся земля, нехай тремтять перед Ним усі, що живуть на світі.
|
For he spoke, and they were made; he commanded, and they were created.
|
|

|

|
|
Бо Він сказав — і сталося, Він повелів — і створилося.
|
The Lord frustrates the counsels of the nations; he brings to nought also the reasonings of the peoples, and brings to nought the counsels of princes.
|
|

|
|
Господь нищить змови народів, відкидає злі задуми людей, [розбиває змови князів].
|
But the counsel of the Lord endures for ever, the thoughts of his heart from generation to generation.
|
|

|
|
Рада ж Господня стоїть вічно, і думки серця Його — з роду в рід.
|
Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord; the people whom he has chosen for his own inheritance.
|
|

|
|
Блаженний народ, у якого Бог є Господом, — люди, яких обрав Господь у насліддя Собі.
|
The Lord looks out of heaven; he beholds all the sons of men.
|
|

|
14
|
|
Господь з неба дивиться і бачить усіх синів людських.
|
He looks from his prepared habitation on all the dwellers on the earth;
|
|

|
15
|
|
Дивиться з Престолу, на якому сидить, і бачить усіх, що живуть на землі.
|
who fashioned their hearts alone; who understands all their works.
|
|
15
|
16
|
|
Він створив серця всіх їх і знає всі діла їхні.
|
A king is not saved by reason of a great host; and a giant shall not be delivered by the greatness of his strength.
|
|

|
|
Не захистить царя велике військо його, і велетня не спасе велика сила його.
|
A horse is vain for safety; neither shall he be delivered by the greatness of his power.
|
|

|
|
Ненадійний кінь для спасіння, не спасе він великою силою своєю.
|
Behold, the eyes of the Lord are on them that fear him, those that hope in his mercy;
|
|

|

|
|
Бо ось очі Господні на тих, що бояться Його, і на тих, що надіються на милість Його.
|
to deliver their souls from death, and to keep them alive in famine.
|
|
19
|
20
|
|
Він спасе душі їхні від смерти, і в часи голоду наситить їх.
|
Our soul waits on the Lord; for he is our helper and defender.
|
|
20
|
21
|
|
Душа ж наша нехай уповає на Господа, бо Він поміч і захист наш.
|
For our heart shall rejoice in him, and we have hoped in his holy name.
|
|
21
|
22
|
|
Ним звеселиться серце наше, бо ми надіємося на святе ім’я Його.
|
Let thy mercy, O Lord, be upon us, according as we have hoped in thee.
|
|
22
|
|
|
Милість Твоя, Господи, нехай буде над нами, бо ми уповаємо на Тебе.
|
