Боже! Ти розгнівався на нас, відвернувся від нас і покарав нас. Але змилуйся над нами!

O God, thou hast rejected and destroyed us; thou hast been angry, yet hast pitied us.

Ти потряс землю, порушив її; зціли рани її, бо вона захиталася.
|
Thou hast shaken the earth, and troubled it; heal its breaches, for it has been shaken.

|
Ти дав людям Твоїм зазнати гіркоти, напоїв нас вином скорбот.
|
Thou hast shewn thy people hard things: thou hast made us drink the wine of astonishment.
|

|
Дай же знамення тим, що бояться Тебе, щоб вони могли втекти від стріли ворожої.
|
Thou hast given a token to them that fear thee, that they might flee from the bow. Pause.

Щоб спаслися улюблені Твої, спаси їх правицею Твоєю і вислухай мене.
|
That thy beloved ones may be delivered; save with thy right hand, and hear me.
|

Бог сказав у святині Своїй: «Возрадуюся, і розділю Сихем, і долину Сокхоф розміряю.
|
God has spoken in his holiness; I will rejoice, and divide Sicima, and measure out the valley of tents.
|

Мій Галаад, Мій Манассія, Єфрем — твердиня глави Моєї, Іуда — цар Мій.
|
Galaad is mine, and Manasse is mine; and Ephraim is the strength of my head;

Моав — чаша уповання Мого; на Едом покладу чобіт Мій. Чужинці скорилися Мені».
|
Judas is my king; Moab is the caldron of my hope; over Idumea will I stretch out my shoe; the Philistines have been subjected to me.

Хто введе мене в укріплене місто? Або доведе мене до Едому?
|
Who will lead me into the fortified city? who will guide me as far as Idumea?

Чи не Ти, Боже, що відвернувся від нас і не виходиш, Боже, з військом нашим?
|
Wilt not thou, O God, who hast cast us off? and wilt not thou, O God, go forth with our forces?
|

Пошли нам поміч у скорботах, бо марна допомога людська.
|
Give us help from trouble: for vain is the deliverance of man.
|
|

|
|
З Богом ми покажемо силу, і Він подолає гнобителів наших.
|
In God will we do valiantly; and he shall bring to nought them that harass us.
