| Коли вийшов Ізраїль з Єгипту, дім Якова — від людей чужих, | Alleluia. At the going forth of Israel from Egypt, of the house of Jacob from a barbarous people, |

| Юдея стала святинею Його, а Ізраїль — володінням Його. | Judea became his sanctuary, and Israel his dominion. |

| Море побачило і розступилося, Йордан повернув назад. | The sea saw and fled: Jordan was turned back. |

|
| Гори підстрибували, як вівці, і пагорби — наче ягнята. | The mountains skipped like rams, and the hills like lambs. |

|
| Чого ти, море, розступилося? І ти, Йордане, чого повернув назад? | What ailed thee, O sea, that thou fleddest? and thou Jordan, that thou wast turned back? |

|
| Чого ви, гори, як вівці, скачете, і ви, пагорби, наче ягнята? | Ye mountains, that ye skipped like rams, and ye hills, like lambs? |

|
| Перед лицем Господа затряслася земля, перед лицем Бога Якова, | The earth trembled at the presence of the Lord, at the presence of the God of Jacob; |
|

|

|
| що перетворив камінь на озеро води, скелю — на джерело потоків. | who turned the rock into pools of water, and the flint into fountains of water. |
|

|

|
| Не нам, Господи, не нам, а імені Твоєму дай славу з милости Твоєї. | Not to us, O Lord, not to us, but to thy name give glory, because of thy mercy and thy truth; |
|

|
| Щоб не сказали народи: «Де Бог їх?» | lest at any time the nations should say, Where is their God? |
|

|
| Бог наш на небесах [і на землі], все, що захотів, створив. | But our God has done in heaven and on earth, whatsoever he has pleased. |
|

|

|
| Ідоли язичників — срібло й золото, діло рук людських: | The idols of the nations are silver and gold, the works of men's hands. |
|

|

|
| мають уста, та не говорять, мають очі, та не бачать, | They have a mouth, but they cannot speak; they have eyes, but they cannot see: |
|

|

|
| мають вуха, та не чують, мають ніздрі, та нема в них нюху; | they have ears, but they cannot hear; they have noses, but they cannot smell; |
|
15
|
15
|
| руки їх не діють, ноги їх не ходять, жодного звуку немає в гортані їх. | they have hands, but they cannot handle; they have feet, but they cannot walk: they cannot speak through their throat. |
|

|

|
| Подібні до них і ті, що роблять їх, і ті, що надіються на них. | Let those that make them become like to them, and all who trust in them. |
|

|
| [Доме] Ізраїля! Уповай на Господа, Він — наша поміч і захист. | The house of Israel trusts in the Lord: he is their helper and defender. |
|

|

|
| Доме Аарона! Уповай на Господа, Він — наша поміч і захист. | The house of Aaron trusts in the Lord: he is their helper and defender. |
|

|
| Всі, що боїтеся Господа, уповайте на Господа, Він — наша поміч і захист. | They that fear the Lord trust in the Lord: he is their helper and defender. |
|

|
| Господь пам’ятає про нас і благословляє [нас]: Він благословив дім Ізраїля, благословив дім Аарона, | The Lord has remembered us, and blessed us: he has blessed the house of Israel, he has blessed the house of Aaron. |
|

|
| Він благословляє тих, що бояться Господа — малих і великих. | He has blessed them that fear the Lord, both small and great. |
|
22
|
22
|
| Нехай же додасть вам Господь все більше й більше, вам і дітям вашим. | The Lord add blessings to you and to your children. |
|

|
| Нехай благословить вас Господь, що сотворив небо і землю. | Blessed are ye of the Lord, who made the heaven and the earth. |
|

|
| Небо над небесами — оселя Господа, а землю Він дав синам людським. | The heaven of heavens belongs to the Lord: but he has given the earth to the sons of men. |
|
25
|
25
|
| Не мертві хвалитимуть Господа, і не всі, що сходять у могилу. | The dead shall not praise thee, O Lord, nor any that go down to Hades. |
|

|
| А ми, [живі,] будемо благословляти Господа віднині й довіку. Алилуя. | But we, the living, will bless the Lord, from henceforth and for ever. |
