| Навіщо, Боже, відкинув Ти нас назавжди? Навіщо розпалився гнів Твій на овець стада Твого? | A Psalm of instruction for Asaph. Wherefore hast thou rejected us, O God, for ever? wherefore is thy wrath kindled against the sheep of thy pasture? |

| Пом’яни людей Твоїх, яких спочатку зібрала рука Твоя. Ти обрав, як жезл насліддя Твого, гору Сион, на якій оселився Ти. | Remember thy congregation which thou hast purchased from the beginning; thou didst ransom the rod of thine inheritance; this mount Sion wherein thou hast dwelt. |

| Піднеси руку Твою і поглянь на злочинство їх: що наробив ворог у святині Твоїй — у храмі Твоїм! | Lift up thine hands against their pride continually; because of all that the enemy has done wickedly in thy holy places. |

| Як звірі, рикають вороги Твої у храмі зібрання Твого. Поставили знамена свої замість знамен наших. | And they that hate thee have boasted in the midst of thy feast; they have set up their standards for signs, |

| Наче в гущавині лісовій, високо змахували сокирами. | ignorantly as it were in the entrance above; |

| Всі двері і всі оздоби ломами та молотами порозбивали. | they cut down its doors at once with axes as in a wood of trees; they have broken it down with hatchet and stone cutter. |

|
| Вогнем спалили святиню Твою на землі, осквернили оселю імені Твого. | They have burnt thy sanctuary with fire to the ground; they have profaned the habitation of thy name. |

| Сказали вони в серці своїм: «Зруйнуємо їх зовсім». І спалили всі міста зібрань Божих на землі. | They have said in their heart, even all their kindred together, Come, let us abolish the feasts of the Lord from the earth. |
|

|
| Знамен наших ми вже не бачимо, нема вже й пророка. І нема між нами такого, хто сказав би, доки це буде. | We have not seen our signs; there is no longer a prophet; and God will not know us any more. |
|

|
| Доки, Боже, буде ворог мучити нас, доки противник буде ображати ім’я Твоє? | How long, O God, shall the enemy reproach? shall the enemy provoke thy name for ever? |
|

|
| Навіщо відхиляєш руку Твою і силу Твою? Гнівом могутности Твоєї урази їх. | Wherefore turnest thou away thine hand, and thy right hand from the midst of thy bosom for ever? |
|

|
| Бог же, Цар наш, раніше віків учинив спасіння посеред землі. | But God is our King of old; he has wrought salvation in the midst of the earth. |
|

| Ти розділив силою Твоєю море, Ти знищив голови зміїв у воді. | Thou didst establish the sea, in thy might, thou didst break to pieces the heads of the dragons in the water. |
|

|
| Ти розбив голову дракона, дав його на поживу людям [ефіопським]. | Thou didst break to pieces the heads of the dragon; thou didst give him for meat to the Ethiopian nations. |
|

|
| Ти відкрив джерела й потоки, і Ти ж висушив великі ріки. | Thou didst cleave fountains and torrents; thou driedst up mighty rivers. |

|
| Твій день і Твоя ніч. Ти створив зорі і сонце. | The day is thine, and the night is thine; thou hast prepared the sun and the moon. |
|

|
| Ти поставив межі землі, і Ти ж установив літо й зиму. | Thou hast made all the borders of the earth; thou hast made summer and spring. |
|

|
| Згадай це: ворог зневажає Господа, і люди нечестиві ображають ім’я Твоє. | Remember this thy creation: an enemy has reproached the Lord, and a foolish people has provoked thy name. |

|
| Не віддавай звірам душ тих, що прославляють Тебе. Душ убогих Твоїх не забудь до кінця. | Deliver not to the wild beasts a soul that gives praise to thee: forget not for ever the souls of thy poor. |
|

|
| Подивись на завіт Твій, бо всі темні місця землі наповнилися домами беззаконня. | Look upon thy covenant: for the dark places of the earth are filled with the habitations of iniquity. |
|

|
| Нехай не повернеться смиренний осоромленим, принижений і убогий нехай прославляють ім’я Твоє. | Let not the afflicted and shamed one be rejected: the poor and needy shall praise thy name. |

|
| Встань, Боже, захисти діло Твоє, згадай зневажання Тебе від беззаконного кожен день. | Arise, O God, plead thy cause: remember thy reproaches that come from the foolish one all the day. |
|

|

|
| Не забудь голосу тих, що благають Тебе, бо гординя тих, що ненавидять Тебе, підіймається проти Тебе завжди. | Forget not the voice of thy suppliants: let the pride of them that hate thee continually ascend before thee. |
