| Господи! Будь Суддею тих, що змагаються зі мною, і побори тих, що бажають побороти мене. | A Psalm of David. Judge thou, O Lord, them that injure me, fight against them that fight against me. |
|

|
| Візьми зброю Твою і щит і стань на поміч мені. | Take hold of shield and buckler, and arise for my help. |
|

|
| Вийми меч і загороди дорогу тим, що переслідують мене. Скажи душі моїй: «Я твоє спасіння». | Bring forth a sword, and stop the way against them that persecute me: say to my soul, I am thy salvation. |
|

|
| Нехай осоромляться ті, що шукають душу мою. Нехай повернуть назад і покриються безчестям ті, що задумали зло проти мене. | Let them that seek my soul be ashamed and confounded: let them that devise evils against me be turned back and put to shame. |
|

|
| Нехай стануть вони як той порох перед вітром, і ангел Господній нехай прожене їх. | Let them be as dust before the wind, and an angel of the Lord afflicting them. |
|

|
| Нехай дорога їхня буде темна і слизька, і ангел Господній нехай переслідує їх. | Let their way be dark and slippery, and an angel of the Lord persecuting them. |
|

|
| Бо вони без вини таємно поставили сітки свої на мене, викопали яму для душі моєї. | For without cause they have hid for me their destructive snare: without a cause they have reproached my soul. |
|

|
| Нехай же несподівано прийде загибель на нього. І сітка, що він таємно на мене поставив, нехай уловить його, і в ту яму нехай сам упаде, на свою погибель. | Let a snare which they know not come upon them: and the gin which they hid take them; and let them fall into the very same snare. |
|

|
| А душа моя буде радіти у Господі, буде втішатися спасінням від Нього. | But my soul shall exult in the Lord: it shall delight in his salvation. |
|

|
| Всі кості мої скажуть: «Господи, хто подібний до Тебе? Ти возволяєш слабкого від сильного, бідного і вбогого — від гнобителів його». | All my bones shall say, O Lord, who is like to thee? delivering the poor out of the hand of them that are stronger than he, yea, the poor and needy one from them that spoil him. |

| Стали проти мене свідки неправедні; про те, чого не знаю я, вони допитують мене. | Unjust witnesses arose, and asked me of things I knew not. |
|

|
| Віддають мені злом за добро, осиротили душу мою. | They rewarded me evil for good, and bereavement to my soul. |
|

|
| Я ж, коли хворіли вони, одягався в одежу скорботи, смиряв постом душу мою, і молитва моя від серця мого не спинялася. | But I, when they troubled me, put on sackcloth, and humbled my soul with fasting: and my prayer shall return to my own bosom. |
|

|
| Наче за приятелем або за братом своїм я побивався, ходив, сумуючи та плачучи, наче за матір’ю. | I behaved agreeably towards them as if it had been our neighbour or brother: I humbled myself as one mourning and sad of countenance. |
|

|
| А вони з нещастя мого радіють, збираються та радяться, як збільшити рани мої, ганьблять мене, не знаю, за що; | Yet they rejoiced against me, and plagues were plentifully brought against me, and I knew it not: they were scattered, but repented not. |

| спокушаючи, насміхаються, скрегочуть на мене зубами. | They tempted me, they sneered at me most contemptuously, they gnashed their teeth upon me. |
|

|
| Господи, чи довго будеш дивитися на це? Одведи душу мою від злочинства їхнього, від левів — самотню мою. | O Lord, when wilt thou look upon me? Deliver my soul from their mischief, mine only-begotten one from the lions. |
|

|
| Я буду прославляти Тебе на великих зібраннях, серед численних народів буду хвалити Тебе, | I will give thanks to thee even in a great congregation: in an abundant people I will praise thee. |
|

|
| щоб не торжествували наді мною ті, що ворогують проти мене даремно, не переморгувалися очима своїми ті, що ненавидять мене без вини. | Let not them that are mine enemies without a cause rejoice against me; who hate me for nothing, and wink with their eyes. |
|

| Бо не про мир говорять вони, а проти мирних землі складають свої замисли. | For to me they spoke peaceably, but imagined deceits in their anger. |
|

| Розширюють на мене уста свої і кажуть: «Добре, добре, бачили очі наші». | And they opened wide their mouth upon me; they said, Aha, aha, our eyes have seen it. |
|

|
| Ти бачив це, Господи, не мовчи. Господи, не віддаляйся від мене. | Thou hast seen it, O Lord: keep not silence: O Lord, withdraw not thyself from me. |
|

|
| Встань, Господи і заступись за правоту мою. Розбери тяжбу мою, Господи мій і Боже мій! | Awake, O Lord, and attend to my judgment, even to my cause, my God and my Lord. |
|

|
| Розсуди мене, Господи, за правдою Твоєю, щоб не величалися вони наді мною. | Judge me, O Lord, according to thy righteousness, O Lord my God; and let them not rejoice against me. |
|

|
| Щоб не говорили в серці своїм: «Добре, [добре!] цього ми бажали». Щоб не сказали: «Ми поглинули його». | Let them not say in their hearts, Aha, aha, it is pleasing to our soul: neither let them say, We have devoured him. |
|

| Нехай постидяться й осоромляться ті, що радіють з мого нещастя. Нехай покриються соромом і ганьбою ті, що вихваляються проти мене. | Let them be confounded and ashamed together that rejoice at my afflictions: let them be clothed with shame and confusion that speak great swelling words against me. |

| І нехай радуються і веселяться ті, що співчувають правді моїй. І нехай завжди кажуть: «Який величний Господь, що бажає миру рабові Своєму!» | Let them that rejoice in my righteousness exult and be glad: and let them say continually, The Lord be magnified, who desire the peace of his servant. |

| А язик мій буде звіщати правду Твою та прославляти Тебе по всі дні. | And my tongue shall meditate on thy righteousness, and on thy praise all the day. |
