I called on the Lord out of affliction: and he hearkened to me, so as to bring me into a wide place.

У скорботі взивав я до Господа, і Він почув мене і вивів мене на простір.

The Lord is my helper; and I will not fear what man shall do to me.

Господь — мій помічник, і я не боюся, що зробить мені людина.

The Lord is my helper; and I shall see my desire upon mine enemies.

It is better to trust in the Lord than to trust in man.

Краще уповати на Господа, аніж надіятися на людину.

It is better to hope in the Lord, than to hope in princes.

Краще уповати на Господа, аніж покладатися на князів.

All nations compassed me about: but in the name of the Lord I repulsed them.

Обступили й оточили мене, я ж іменем Господнім переміг їх.

They completely compassed me about: but in the name of the Lord I repulsed them.

Оточили мене, але я іменем Господнім подолав їх,
|
They compassed me about as bees do a honeycomb, and they burst into flame as fire among thorns: but in the name of the Lord I repulsed them.

|
обсіли мене, наче бджоли [соти], розгорілися, як вогонь у сухому терні, але я іменем Господнім подолав їх.
|
I was thrust, and sorely shaken, that I might fall: but the Lord helped me.
|

Вони били мене, щоб я впав, але Господь підтримав мене,
|
The Lord is my strength and my song, and is become my salvation.
|

|
Господь — моя сила і пісня моя, і став моїм спасінням.
|
The voice of exultation and salvation is in the tabernacles of the righteous: the right hand of the Lord has wrought mightily.

Голос радости і спасіння в оселях праведників. Правиця Господня дає їм силу,

The right hand of the Lord has exalted me: the right hand of the Lord has wrought powerfully.

|
правиця Господня піднесла мене, правиця Господня дала мені силу.
|
I shall not die, but live, and recount the works of the Lord.

Не умру, а житиму і повідатиму про діла Господні.
|
The Lord has chastened me sore: but he has not given me up to death.

Караючи, покарав мене Господь, але смерті не віддав мене.
|
Open to me the gates of righteousness: I will go into them, and give praise to the Lord.

|
Відчиніть мені врата правди, і я ввійду ними і прославлю Господа.

This is the gate of the Lord: the righteous shall enter by it.
|

|
Ось врата Господні; праведні увійдуть ними.
|
I will give thanks to thee; because thou hast heard me, and art become my salvation.

Прославляю Тебе, Господи, що Ти почув мене і став моїм спасінням.
|
The stone which the builders rejected, the same is become the head of the corner.
|

|
Камінь, що занедбали будівничі, став в основу (наріжним каменем).
|
This has been done of the Lord; and it is wonderful in our eyes.
|

Від Господа це сталося, і дивне воно в очах наших.
|
This is the day which the Lord has made: let us exult and rejoice in it.

Цей день, його ж створив Господь, радіймо й веселімось в нім.
|
O Lord, save now: O Lord, send now prosperity.

О Господи! Спаси, о Господи! Допоможи.
|
Blessed is he that comes in the name of the Lord: we have blessed you out of the house of the Lord.

Благословен, хто йде в ім’я Господнє. Благословляємо вас із дому Господнього.
|
God is the Lord, and he has shined upon us: celebrate the feast with thick branches, binding the victims even to the horns of the altar.

Бог Господь і явився нам. Вчиніть свято, несіть жертви до Жертовника Господнього.
|
Thou art my God, and I will give thee thanks: thou art my God, and I will exalt thee. I will give thanks to thee, for thou hast heard me, and art become my salvation.

Ти — Бог мій, буду хвалити Тебе. Ти Бог мій, [буду славити Тебе. Бо Ти почув мене і став моїм спасінням].
|
Give thanks to the Lord; for he is good: for his mercy endures for ever.
