| Боже помсти, Господи Боже помсти, яви Себе! | A Psalm of David for the fourth day of the week. The Lord is a God of vengeance; the God of vengeance has declared himself. |

| Встань, Судде землі, дай відплату гордим. | Be thou exalted, thou that judgest the earth: render a reward to the proud. |

|
| Доки, Господи, доки нечестивці будуть вихвалятися? | How long shall sinners, O Lord, how long shall sinners boast? |
|

|
| Вони говорять неправдиві слова, величають себе всі, що чинять беззаконня. | They will utter and speak unrighteousness; all the workers of iniquity will speak so. |
|

|
| Народ Твій, Господи, поневолили і гноблять насліддя Твоє. | They have afflicted thy people, O Lord, and hurt thine heritage. |
|

|
| Вдовиць і сиріт уморюють і пришельців убивають. | They have slain the widow and fatherless, and murdered the stranger. |
|

|
| І кажуть: «Не побачить Господь, не дізнається Бог Якова». | And they said, The Lord shall not see, neither shall the God of Jacob understand. |
|

|
| Зрозумійте ж, нерозумні люди! Коли ви прийдете до розуму? | Understand now, ye simple among the people; and ye fools, at length be wise. |
|

|
| Той, Хто створив вухо, чи не почує? І той, Хто створив око, чи не побачить? | He that planted the ear, does he not hear? or he that formed the eye, does not he perceive? |
|

|
| Той, що врозумляє народи і дає людям розуміння, невже не покарає вас? | He that chastises the heathen, shall not he punish, even he that teaches man knowledge? |

|
| Знає Господь замисли людські, що вони марні. | The Lord knows the thoughts of men, that they are vain. |
|

|
| Блаженна та людина, яку врозумляєш Ти, Господи, і навчаєш закону Твого, | Blessed is the man whomsoever thou shalt chasten, O Lord, and shalt teach him out of thy law; |
|

|
| щоб у тяжкі дні вона мала спокій, доки нечестивому викопають яму. | to give him rest from evil days, until a pit be digged for the sinful one. |
|

|

|
| Бо не відкине Господь народу Свого і не забуде насліддя Свого. | For the Lord will not cast off his people, neither will he forsake his inheritance; |
|
15
|
15
|
| Бо в суд прийде правда, і за нею прийдуть усі праведні серцем. | until righteousness return to judgment, and all the upright in heart shall follow it. Pause. |

|
| Хто стане за мене проти злочинців? І хто стане за мене проти тих, що чинять беззаконня? | Who will rise up for me against the transgressors? or who will stand up with me against the workers of iniquity? |
|

|
| Якби б Господь не поміг мені, то скоро зійшла б до пекла душа моя. | If the Lord had not helped me, my soul had almost sojourned in Hades. |
|

|
| Коли я сказав: «Похитнулися ноги мої», тоді милість Твоя, Господи, підтримувала мене. | If I said, My foot has been moved; |

|
| Коли ж намножувалися скорботи в серці моїм, Твоя втіха насолодою наповнювала душу мою. | thy mercy, O Lord, helped me. O Lord, according to the multitude of my griefs within my heart, thy consolations have soothed my soul. |
|

|
| Чи допустиш Ти, щоб поблизу Тебе постала оселя розбійників, що чинять насильство наперекір закону? | Shall the throne of iniquity have fellowship with thee, which frames mischief by an ordinance? |
|

|
| Вони натовпом нападають на душу праведника і кров неповинну судять. | They will hunt for the soul of the righteous, and condemn innocent blood. |
|
22
|
22
|
| Але Господь — захист мій, і Бог мій — твердиня надії моєї. | But the Lord was my refuge; and my God the helper of my hope. |
|

|
| Він поверне на них беззаконня їхні і злочинством їхнім погубить їх, знищить їх Господь Бог наш. | And he will recompense to them their iniquity and their wickedness: the Lord our God shall utterly destroy them. |
