| Боже, хто подібний до Тебе? Не мовчи і не будь спокійним, Боже. | O God, who shall be compared to thee? be not silent, neither be still, O God. |

| Бо ось вороги Твої зашуміли і ті, що ненавидять Тебе, підняли голови. | For behold, thine enemies have made a noise; and they that hate thee have lifted up the head. |
|

|
| Вони підступно змовляються проти народу Твого і радяться проти святих Твоїх. | Against thy people they have craftily imagined a device, and have taken counsel against thy saints. |
|

|
| Сказали: «Підемо й винищимо їх з-поміж народів, щоб ніхто не згадував більше імені Ізраїля». | They have said, Come, and let us utterly destroy them out of the nation; and let the name of Israel be remembered no more at all. |

| Змовилися і однодушно уклали союз проти Тебе. | For they have taken counsel together with one consent: they have made a confederacy against thee; |

| Сини Едома, ізмаїліти, Моав і агаряни, | even the tents of the Idumeans, and the Ismaelites; Moab, and the Agarenes; |

|
| Гевал і Аммон, Амалик і филистимляни з людьми тирськими. | Gebal, and Ammon, and Amalec; the Philistines also, with them that dwell at Tyre. |

|
| І Ассур пішов з ними; вони стали на поміч синам Лотовим. | Yea, Assur too is come with them: they have become a help to the children of Lot. Pause. |
|

|
| Зроби з ними так, як з Мадіамом, Сисарою та Іавимом біля потоку Кисана, | Do thou to them as to Madiam, and to Sisera; as to Jabin at the brook of Kison. |

| які були знищені в Аендорі і стали гноєм для землі. | They were utterly destroyed at Aendor: they became as dung for the earth. |

|
| Зроби з ними та князями їхніми, як з Оривом, Зивом, Зевеєм і Салманом — вельможами їхніми, | Make their princes as Oreb and Zeb, and Zebee and Salmana; even all their princes: |

| які говорили: «Візьмемо собі у володіння святиню Божу». | who said, Let us take to ourselves the altar of God as an inheritance. |

|
| Боже мій! Нехай стануть вони як порох у вихорі, як солома перед вітром, | O my God, make them as a wheel; as stubble before the face of the wind. |
|

|
| як вогонь спалює ліси, як полум’я, що обпалює гори, | As fire which shall burn up a wood, as the flame may consume the mountains; |

|
| так пожени їх бурею Твоєю і гнівом Твоїм приведи їх у замішання. | so shalt thou persecute them with thy tempest, and trouble them in thine anger. |
|

|
| Покрий їх безчестям, щоб вони шукали імені Твого, Господи. | Fill their faces with dishonour; so shall they seek thy name, O Lord. |
|
18
|
18
|
| Нехай будуть осоромлені й застрашені навіки, і з соромом своїм загинуть. | Let them be ashamed and troubled for evermore; yea, let them be confounded and destroyed. |
|
19
|
19
|
| І нехай узнають, що ім’я Тобі — Господь і що Ти єдиний Всевишній на всій землі. | And let them know that thy name is Lord; that thou alone art Most High over all the earth. |
