For the end, a Psalm of David. O God, pass not over my praise in silence;

|
Боже хвали моєї! Не мовчи.
|
for the mouth of the sinner and the mouth of the crafty man have been opened against me: they have spoken against me with a crafty tongue.
|
|

|

|
|
Бо відкрилися на мене уста нечестиві й уста підступні; говорять про мене слова неправди.
|
And they have compassed me with words of hatred; and fought against me without a cause.
|
|

|
|
Словами ненависти звідусіль оточують мене і повстають проти мене без причини;
|
Instead of loving me, they falsely accused me: but I continued to pray.
|
|

|

|
|
за любов мою вони ворогують проти мене, я ж молюся;
|
And they rewarded me evil for good, and hatred for my love.
|
|

|

|
|
віддають мені злом за добро, і ненавистю — за любов мою.
|
Set thou a sinner against him; and let the devil stand at his right hand.
|
|

|
|
Постав над ним нечестивого, і диявол нехай стане праворуч нього.
|
When he is judged, let him go forth condemned: and let his prayer become sin.
|
|

|
8
|
|
Коли стане на суд, хай він вийде осудженим, і молитва його буде йому за гріх.
|
Let his days be few: and let another take his office of overseer.
|
|

|
9
|
|
Нехай дні його будуть короткими і достоїнство його перейме інший.
|
Let his children be orphans, and his wife a widow.
|
|

|
10
|
|
Діти його хай будуть сиротами і дружина його — вдовою.
|
Let his children wander without a dwelling-place, and beg: let them be cast out of their habitations.
|
|

|

|
|
Будуть вони блукати та просити хліба і будуть вигнані із домів їх.
|
Let his creditor exact all that belongs to him: and let strangers spoil his labours.
|
|

|
|
Хай позичкодавець його забере в нього все, і чужі розтягнуть добро його.
|
Let him have no helper; neither let there be any one to have compassion on his fatherless children.
|
|

|
13
|
|
Хай не буде йому заступника, і ніхто не приголубить сиріт його;
|
Let his children be given up to utter destruction: in one generation let his name be blotted out.
|
|

|
14
|
|
нехай згинуть усі нащадки його, і вже в наступному поколінні ніхто не згадає й імені його.
|
Let the iniquity of his fathers be remembered before the Lord; and let not the sin of his mother be blotted out.
|
|

|
15
|
|
Нехай згадаються перед Господом беззаконня батьків його, і гріх матері його не буде очищений.
|
Let them be before the Lord continually; and let their memorial be blotted out from the earth.
|
|

|
16
|
|
Нехай будуть вони повсякчас перед Господом, і Він знищить і спомин про них на землі,
|
Because he remembered not to shew mercy, but persecuted the needy and poor man, and that to slay him that was pricked in the heart.
|
|

|
|
за те, що не виявив він милости, а переслідував людину бідну, беззахисну, засмучену серцем, щоб убити її.
|
He loved cursing also, and it shall come upon him; and he took not pleasure in blessing, so it shall be removed far from him.
|
|

|
|
Він полюбив прокляття, воно і прийде на нього; не побажав благословення, — і воно одійшло від нього.
|
Yea, he put on cursing as a garment, and it is come as water into his bowels, and as oil into his bones.
|
|

|
19
|
|
Нехай він одягнеться в прокляття, наче в одежу, і нехай увійде воно, як вода, в утробу його і, як олива, в кості його;
|
Let it be to him as a garment which he puts on, and as a girdle with which he girds himself continually.
|
|

|
20
|
|
і нехай буде воно йому як одіж, в яку він одягається, і як пояс, яким він завжди підперізується.
|
This is the dealing of the Lord with those who falsely accuse me, and of them that speak evil against my soul.
|
|

|
|
Ось така відплата від Господа ворогам моїм і тим, що говорять зло на душу мою!
|
But thou, O Lord, Lord, deal mercifully with me, for thy name's sake: for thy mercy is good.
|
|

|
|
Ти ж, Господи, Господи, захисти мене заради імені Твого, бо блага милість Твоя.
|
Deliver me, for I am poor and needy; and my heart is troubled within me.
|
|

|

|
|
Спаси мене, бо я знеможений і вбогий, і серце моє поранене в мені.
|
I am removed as a shadow in its going down: I am tossed up and down like locusts.
|
|

|
|
Я зникаю, як та тінь, що відхиляється; стрясаюся, як та сарана, що гонять її.
|
My knees are weakened through fasting, and my flesh is changed by reason of the want of oil.
|
|

|
|
Коліна мої знесиліли від посту, і тіло моє сохне без поживи.
|
I became also a reproach to them: when they saw me they shook their heads.
|
|

|
|
І став я посміховиськом для них: ті, що дивляться на мене, похитують головами.
|
Help me, O Lord my God; and save me according to thy mercy.
|
|

|
|
Допоможи мені, Господи, Боже мій! Спаси мене з милости Твоєї.
|
And let them know that this is thy hand; and that thou, Lord, hast wrought it.
|
|

|
28
|
|
Нехай пізнають, що це — Твоя рука і що це Ти, Господи, вчинив.
|
Let them curse, but thou shalt bless: let them that rise up against me be ashamed, but let thy servant rejoice.
|
|

|

|
|
Вони проклинають, а Ти благослови. Вони нападають, але нехай будуть посоромлені; а раб Твій нехай возрадується.
|
Let those that falsely accuse me be clothed with shame, and let them cover themselves with their shame as with a mantle.
|
|

|
30
|
|
А ворогів моїх нехай покриє безчестя і, як одежею, нехай вони покриються соромом своїм.
|
I will give thanks to the Lord abundantly with my mouth; and in the midst of many I will praise him.
|
|

|
31
|
|
А я голосно буду славити Господа устами моїми і серед багатьох буду прославляти Його,
|
For he stood on the right hand of the poor, to save me from them that persecute my soul.
|
|

|
|
|
бо Він стоїть праворуч бідного, щоб спасти його від тих, що шукають душу мою.
|
