| Почуй, Боже, голос мій у молитві моїй. Від лютого ворога охорони життя моє. | Hear my prayer, O God, when I make my petition to thee; deliver my soul from fear of the enemy. |

| Укрий мене від намірів злодіїв і від зборища беззаконників. | Thou hast sheltered me from the conspiracy of them that do wickedly; from the multitude of them that work iniquity; |

| Вони наче меч нагострили язик свій і, мов стріли, кидають слова образи, | who have sharpened their tongues as a sword; they have bent their bow maliciously; |

|
| щоб таємно стріляти в неповинного; стріляють в нього несподівано і не бояться. | to shoot in secret at the blameless; they will shoot him suddenly, and will not fear. |

|
| Вони утвердились у злому намірі, змовляються поставити таємно сітку і кажуть: хто їх побачить? | They have set up for themselves an evil matter, they have given counsel to hide snares; they have said, Who shall see them? |

| Вони вигадують всіляку неправду, вишукують, розслідують, заглядають аж до глибини серця. | They have searched out iniquity; they have wearied themselves with searching diligently, a man shall approach and the heart is deep, |

| Але уразить їх Бог стрілою. Несподівано стріла Божа вдарить їх. | and God shall be exalted, their wounds were caused by the weapon of the foolish children, |

|
| Вони покарають себе своїми ж словами. Всі, хто побачить їх, відійдуть від них. | and their tongues have set him at nought, all that saw them were troubled; |

|
| І нападе страх на всіх людей, вони сповістять про діла Божі, бо зрозуміють, що то — Його діло. | and every man was alarmed, and they related the works of God, and understood his deeds. |

|
| Звеселиться праведник у Господі і уповає на Нього. І похваляться всі праведні серцем. | The righteous shall rejoice in the Lord, and hope on him, and all the upright in heart shall be praised. |
