| Засурміть у новомісяччя сурмою у пресвітлий день свята вашого. | Blow the trumpet at the new moon, in the glorious day of your feast. |

| Бо це закон для Ізраїля, повеління Бога нашого. | For this is an ordinance for Israel, and a statute of the God of Jacob. |

| Він установив це як свідчення для Йосифа, коли він вийшов із землі Єгипетської, де почув мову, якої не знав. | He made it to be a testimony in Joseph, when he came forth out of the land of Egypt: he heard a language which he understood not. |

| «Я зняв тягарі з плечей його і руки його звільнив від корзин. | He removed his back from burdens: his hands slaved in making the baskets. |

| В біді ти прикликав Мене, і Я визволив тебе; серед грому Я почув тебе, при водах Мериви випробував тебе. | Thou didst call upon me in trouble, and I delivered thee; I heard thee in the secret place of the storm: I proved thee at the water of Strife. Pause. |

| Слухай, народе Мій, і Я дам свідчення тобі; о, коли б ти послухав Мене, Ізраїлю! | Hear, my people, and I will speak to thee, O Israel; and I will testify to thee: if thou wilt hearken to me; |

| Нехай не буде в тебе іншого бога, і не вклоняйся перед богом чужим. | there shall be no new god in thee; neither shalt thou worship a strange god. |

|
| Я — Господь Бог твій, що вивів тебе із землі Єгипетської. Розкрий уста твої, і Я наповню їх. | For I am the Lord thy God, that brought thee out of the land of Egypt: open thy mouth wide, and I will fill it. |

| Але не послухав народ Мій голосу Мого, Ізраїль не підкорився Мені. | But my people hearkened not to my voice; and Israel gave no heed to me. |
|

|
| Тому Я покинув їх на волю серця їх — ходити за похотями своїми. | So I let them go after the ways of their own hearts: they will go on in their own ways. |

|
| О, коли б народ Мій послухав Мене, коли б Ізраїль ходив дорогами Моїми. | If my people had hearkened to me, if Israel had walked in my ways, |

|
| Я скоро смирив би ворогів їхніх і на гнобителів їхніх поклав би руку Мою. | I should have put down their enemies very quickly, and should have laid my hand upon those that afflicted them. |

|
| Ненависники Господні підкорилися б їм, а добробут їх був би повіки. | The Lord's enemies should have lied to him: but their time shall be for ever. |
|

|
| Я хлібом пшеничним годував би їх, і медом із скелі насичував би їх». | And he fed them with the fat of wheat; and satisfied them with honey out of the rock. |
